Western Australia is known for its great produce.
Ocean fare and seafood.
Beef that’s exported all over the world.
Dairy produce fresh from the lush South West.
Fruits that come from both Mediterranean and tropical climates.
Wines from some of the continent’s best vineyards and winemakers.
And it’s known for flare in its quality chefs –
Talented, tasteful … capable of taking that produce
and giving it a twist.
And our vast State is also known for its diverse landscapes …
From the rocky south west with granite cliffs and white sand beaches
To the vast inland, red with desert and dune
To a golden coastline facing the Indian Ocean
To the tropical north, with the iconic Kimberley and Pilbara
It is also known for its stories …
of long distances and big country
of our modern, green city, themed by the river.
And, of course people, ancient of modern,
the lyrical and the larrikin.
And we will put them all together in our Round WA Dinner …
Using the fresh produce of WA and showcasing its regions, chef will give a contemporary taste of the State.
And Travel Editor Stephen Scourfield will script and word-perform stories for these regions, live before each course.
After “writing the evening”, he will work with a composer and musician, who will perform with him on the night.
The food producers
… in our Round WA Dinner.
