YAY! Our Round the World Dinners return on May 20, with exciting horizons, global stories, cultural soundscapes and cuisine from countries around the world.

Travel Editor Stephen Scourfield will again work with Chef Costa Simatos and composer Steve Richter to bring the world to vibrant life in a series of courses and stories.

YAY! Our Round the World Dinners return on May 20, with exciting horizons, global stories, cultural soundscapes and cuisine from countries around the world.

And where will we go during our Round the World Dinner?

Our partner in this Round the World Dinner will help to make it exciting. For Aurora Expeditions takes travellers to interesting and stimulating places, like Antarctica, Patagonia, Arctic Greenland and Arctic Canada, Alaska, Baja California, Panama, west Scotland and Ireland, Raja Ampat, Nepal and the Kimberley.

Australian-owned Aurora Expeditions is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

We’ll give you a hint, without giving the game away … we will take guests somewhere HOT and somewhere COLD.


HOW IT WORKS

Stephen Scourfield writes a scripted performance story for each course. Steve Richter writes music for each, and they performed live before each course.

Each matches their spot in the evening. Entre is just a taster. Main course is the most substantial. Dessert is shorter and sweeter. (You get the picture.)

Chef Costa Simatos designs the menu, reflecting that place’s food. He’s a genius at this. You might think that courses from vastly different regions might be, well, a bit much on the stomach. But chef makes menus that are smooth yet stimulating.

Welcome drinks, wine, beer, soft drinks and sparkling water, tea and coffee are all included, to lubricate the evening.

It all comes together in a magical evening.
