Changi Airport the world's best
Changi continued its reign as the best airport in the world.
Singapore Changi Airport has been named as the world's best airport by air travellers for the fifth year in a row.
The top award was part of the 2017 Skytrax World Airport Awards, with Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) coming in second and Korea’s Incheon International Airport taking third. Munich Airport and Hong Kong International Airport rounded out the top five.
"Changi Airport continues to innovate product and service facilities for customers, and is making the travel experience at the airport enjoyable and relaxing,” Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted said.
The world’s cleanest airport went to Tokyo Haneda, most improved to Soekarno–Hatta, best for dining was Hong Kong, and Taiwan Taoyuan took out best airport staff service.
Best airport hotel awards went to Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Pullman Guangzhou Airport, Hong Kong Sky City Marriott, Hilton Munich Airport, and Regal Airport Hong Kong.
As for shopping, London Heathrow was the winner followed by Seoul Incheon, Hong Kong, Singapore Changi and Doha Hamad.
Brisbane was voted best airport in Australia / Pacific.
