Here we come Lucky Bay... An Esperance foray is looking that much more likely as Rex keeps its $129 fares.
Travellers frustrated by the high cost of flying within Western Australia have received some relief with promotional fares between Perth and Esperance to stay at $129.
Regional Express (Rex) and the Shire of Esperance have struck a deal to continue the fare for three years until June 30, 2020.
The "community fare" is available between Esperance and Perth for advanced bookings of at least 60 days prior to departure, as well as all seats available within 24 hours of departure.
Since the community fare’s launch in May last year more than 8000 have been sold, giving locals an affordable option for a Perth trip and encouraging visitors to Esperance.
Rex flies three times a day on weekdays, twice-daily from Esperance on Saturday and once on Sunday, and twice-daily from Perth on Sunday and once on Saturday.
