Take part in an Italian tradition and explore the villages of Tuscany on a new trip from Mad About Tuscany Tours.
With foodie attractions and experiential travel continuing to lead tourism trends, Sioban and Carlo Baldini, of Mad About Tuscany Tours and Wildwood Valley Cottages and Cooking Schools in Yallingup, are combining the two in their inaugural Tuscan Olive Oil Tour.
The pair hand-pick olives with family and friends each October and are inviting food lovers to join them this year at Antica Quercia Verde, an agritourism property near Cortona in Tuscany.
“There’s a wonderful camaraderie and we share incredible meals and laughs together after busy days in the olive grove,” they said.
Guests will stay in stone cottages on the property for two days of olive picking and pressing the oil, plus a day of touring Tuscan villages.
The tour, from October 7-11, includes four nights of accommodation, breakfast daily, three lunches and four dinners, and costs €1000 per person twin share.
A 2019 tour has also been announced for October 6-10.
