Cruise with an ex-PM, a Broadway legend, Pulitzer Prize winners or a royal chef.

Former Prime Minister Julia Gillard will join a star-studded line up of speakers aboard Seabourn's luxury ships next year.

Ms Gillard is the latest distinguished speaker to join the Seabourn Conversations series.

The former PM will make her debut on board the line’s newest ship Seabourn Encore as it sails from Singapore on November 10 for the ship's second Australian summer.

“The series continues to be highly successful as prominent speakers captivate on-board audiences with their personal experiences and hard-earned global perspectives on issues of the day,” Seabourn president Richard Meadows says.

Seabourn Conversations is an on-board enrichment and special guest program with speakers ranging from the fields of journalism to government and the culinary arts.

On January 7 award-winning lyricist Tim Rice will sail on Seabourn Encore’s maiden voyage through South-East Asia.

Mr Rice is the creator of hit musicals such as Joseph and Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and The Lion King.

He will narrate Seabourn Encore’s musical production, An Evening with Tim Rice, featuring his best-known works performed by the ship’s singers.

Darren McGrady – a former personal chef to Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana and princes William and Harry, who has also cooked for a number of US presidents – will cruise aboard Seabourn Sojourn on April 23.

On July 21, Michael Moss, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter and author of the New York Times bestseller Salt, Sugar and Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us, will sail with Seabourn Sojourn.

And Walter Robinson, an editor and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist for the Boston Globe, will join Seabourn Odyssey on October 30. His reporting as part of the Spotlight Team formed the basis for the Academy Award-winning film Spotlight.

Prices start from $23,499 per person twin share for a 24-day voyage on Seabourn Encore from Singapore to Sydney on November 10, visiting ports in Indonesia and along Queensland’s coast.
