Walking trips are all about getting a different perspective on a landscape.
A five-day heli-hiking experience from Australian company Life’s An Adventure offers more than one novel way to see the East Kimberley.
The guided Kimberley, Bungles & Beyond Walk begins in Kununurra before heading to Purnululu National Park for a helicopter ride and hike in the heart of the Bungle Bungle Range.
It also includes a hike to Echidna Gorge and Mini Palms Gorge, plus a visit to El Questro with walks to Champagne Springs, El Questro Gorge and Emma Gorge, before returning to Kununurra.
The tour offers pack-free walking and no camping, with cabin and bungalow accommodation at the Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge and El Questro Station.
Departures are available between late May and August, and cost from $4095 per person ($2995 without the heli-hiking experience).
Book by January 31 to get a free pre-tour night at the Kununurra Country Club Resort, and to save $200 per person on selected departures.
