Air Asia has opened the Air Asia Premium Red Lounge at its Kuala Lumpur hub offering a smoother journey for passengers transiting at the airport.
The Air Asia Premium Red Lounge has opened at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 taking a little of the sting out of the journey particularly for the budget airline's premium passengers.
The lounge, which is open 24 hours a day, will have a buffet spread, wireless internet, a comfortable seating area, a mezzanine sunroom, workstations and shower facilities.
Access to the lounge is included for Premium Flatbed and Premium Flex passengers while other passengers can use the lounge for RM79 which is about $25.
The airline has about 5000 transiting passengers a day and the lounge, which at 302sqm can accommodate 110 travellers at a time, and it sees Air Asia raising the quality on the usual budget airline offering according to executive chairman for Air Asia Berhad and group chief executive for Air Asia X Datuk Kamarudin Meranun.
“We are determined to raise the bar for low-cost travel and maintain our position as the World’s Best Low Cost Airline," Datuk Kamarudin Meranun said.
