Craft brews, coastal experiences and spectacular scenery will be on tap in a new journey through the US Pacific Northwest.
The US Pacific Northwest is renowned as a hub for craft breweries, and beer lovers can experience some of them on a new itinerary from tour operator Globus.
The 10-day Oregon's Coast, Cascades and Craft Beers tour from Seattle to Portland showcases the region's coastline and scenery, and also includes visits to five local breweries.
Highlights for beer fans will include a brewer's dinner at Widmer Brothers Brewing in Portland, a tour and tasting at Rogue Brewery in Newport and a tour of Seattle’s Redhook Ale Brewery, along with lunch and tasting at Deschutes Brewery and Public House in Bend and Full Sail Brewing Company in Hood River.
Other sightseeing includes a day at the spectacular Crater Lake National Park, a visit to Seattle's Pike Place Market and stops at the picturesque Cape Meares State Park and the charming town of Florence, both on the Oregon coast.
The trip costs from $4109 per person twin share, with departures available from June to September next year.
Travellers who book by November 29 will receive a 10 per cent discount on the land portion of their tour, while an extra 10 per cent discount is available when booking a second tour. Repeat travellers who are members of the Globus Journeys Club get 5 per cent off.
The tour is one of a number of new tours announced as part of Globus' 2017 program, which includes itineraries throughout the Americas along with Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
