Arrivals & Departures Banish FOMO with P&O’s new cruising app
Find your friends, book shore excursions and organise your daily activities with the cruise line's new app.
P&O has stepped up its customer service game with a new app that allows guests to plan activities, make bookings and message family and friends onboard.
Available free on personal devices when connected to the ship’s wi-fi, the WhatsOn app allows families and friends travelling together to send messages to one another, check in and like locations, and recommend activities.
Guests can use the app to book shore tours, check their on-board account, and view special promotions available across the ship.
The app also provides a daily schedule of activities for the entire cruise and guests can book preferred activities online and create a wish list for each day.
“Never again will our guests suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out) or wonder which restaurant or bar their friends are in,” P&O Cruises president Sture Myrmell says.
The app launched across most of the fleet last week with Pacific Aria set to come online later this week.
The cruise line is also rolling out new cash kiosks so guests can transfer money onto their cruise card without queuing at the front desk.
