Arrivals & Departures Rock and roll at sea
A music cruise off the coast of Queensland has every chance of being a big hit.
As cruising has increased in popularity so too have the number of themed itineraries launching on the world's rivers and seas. Some have a music theme or an accent on art, others a culinary thread.
And Australian travellers don't have to go far to enjoy this type of cruise.
Fans of Aussie rock will love the line-up aboard P&O Cruises' Pacific Dawn on a three-day itinerary round-trip from Brisbane.
The November Rock themed cruise will be headlined by Australian singer-songwriter Ross Wilson, the former front man for Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock.
Wilson, who is best known for hits such as Eagle Rock and Come Said The Boy, will perform in two concerts supported by Hullabaloo, and will take part in a Q&A session hosted by radio presenter Rosie Beaton.
Other performers on the cruise will include rugby league legend Eric Grothe and his band The Gurus and Danny Black.
Passengers can also take part in songwriting workshops with musician Peter Grose as well as karaoke and trivia sessions
The cruise departs on November 26 with fares from $379 per person quad share and onboard credit of up to $300 per cabin. pocruises.com.au.
