The luxury travel operator has offers and discounts on 2017 departures, including Canada and Alaska cruise-tours, African expeditions and European river cruises.
Scenic is celebrating its 30th birthday, but travellers are getting the gifts as the company extends a range of discounts and special offers on its 2017 cruises and tours.
For example, save up to $5600 per couple on Scenic's 17-day The Canadian Rockies and Alaskan Cruise itinerary and receive two birthday gifts: return flights to Canada for $595 per person plus a free Hong Kong stopover on all 2017 departures excluding July 7 to August 16.
The itinerary, which costs from $10,195 per person, travels round trip from Vancouver through British Columbia and Alberta before a seven-night Alaskan cruise aboard MS Nieuw Amsterdam.
Also included in the birthday sale is a 14-day Japan Unveiling tour to Hiroshima, Mt Fuji, Kyoto and Tokyo, which comes with a fly free offer and savings of up to $2770 per couple on selected departures. It costs from $14,790 per person.
Other options include the 31-day Grand African Expedition, which has a fly free offer plus a free pre or post-tour night of accommodation with selected departures along with savings of up to $1990 per couple. The 20-day Icons of South America tour includes return flights for $495 and a pre-tour stay on selected departures.
The sale also includes various 2017 cruises in Europe and Asia. There are savings of up to $8000 per couple on the 15-day Romantic Rhine and Moselle River Cruise. There is are other incentives, including a choice of free flights with balcony suites, business-class flights from $2995 per person, or a free hotel night and Singapore stopover plus a suite upgrade. It costs from $7895.
The offers end on December 16.
Scenic was founded in 1986 in Newcastle by Glen Moroney, starting out with coach tours throughout Australia before branching out overseas.
The company entered the river cruising market in Europe in 2008, and launched on to the rivers of South-East Asia this year. In 2018 it will debut its first ocean cruising ship, the luxury "discovery yacht" Scenic Eclipse.
