On Foot Holidays’ new walking tour for 2019 — in northern Spain’s Basque Pyrenees — travels through farmland, woodland and mountain ridges down to the coastal and cultural city of San Sebastian.
You’ll visit mountain villages, walk along the French border “with a foot in each country”, stay in family-run historic hotels and take a boat ride to the walled town of Hondarribia.
The eight-night self-guided inn-to-inn walk is graded as medium-hard with five to seven hours of walking each day; but there are shorter and easier options.
It’s available from April to June and September to October.
The price includes eight nights accommodation and all luggage transfers, which means you simply need to carry a day pack.
It costs from £920 (about $1640) per person twin share.
