Arrivals & Departures Fly over Dubai on the world's longest urban zip-line
If going from zero to 60km/hour in 2.5 seconds sounds like fun, head to Dubai to fly Superman-style above the skyscrapers.
Twice the length of its forerunner in Downtown Dubai, the recently opened XLine Dubai Marina extends a full kilometre from a height of 170m to ground level.
Built above Dubai Marina, it has a 16-degree incline, allowing for speeds of up to 80km/hour.
Daredevils can try the Superman-style harness, which suspends the rider horizontally as they zip from one of the Amwaj towers down to the terrace of Dubai Marina Mall.
And take along a friend or family member too: there are two adjacent zip-lines, so you can ride (and scream) in tandem.
Fact File
- A solo ride costs about $219, and double (tandem) rides are about $404.
- Guests must be between 12-65 years of age, in good medical health, taller than 130cm and weigh 50-100kg.
- For more information and to book, visit xdubai.com/xline.
