Antarctica with Stephen Scourfield and Collette - SOLD OUT
Alongside our Travel Editor, Stephen Scourfield (an experienced Antarctic traveller), spend time in Santiago, Chile, and venture on to “the great white continent” — Antarctica.
Before leaving, Stephen will hold three sessions, to fully prepare the group for the trip (everything from clothing and packing to photography). By the time the group leaves, we’re sure it will have bonded into a "family" of happy, like-minded travellers.
On the way to Antarctica, there are two nights in Santiago, and Stephen will lead a walking tour.
Then our travellers begin their Antarctic expedition aboard the fully equipped National Geographic Resolution by crossing the Drake Passage.
At the Antarctic Peninsula, they will see blue-white glaciers and busy penguin rookeries, breaching whales crashing and scenes of pure ice walls.
On shore, with the ship’s naturalists, they can learn about the local populations of penguins, seals, and humpback whales.
Feel the glacial ice crunch as your expedition ship makes its way through a pack of ice with its hull strengthened to “ice class”. Return to Santiago for an evening before departing home.
