G’day, Matt here from Spirit Drive. Music has been a huge passion of mine since I was a young boy. There is a song or artist for every moment of my life – from my first kiss, graduating university, grabbing the keys to my very first car, to even the first song I played on the radio (it was Bruce Hornsby and the Range – The Way It Is, for those of you playing at home.)

That’s why I cannot wait to fly to the other side of the globe and explore the world’s most historic and influential music cities, in the mighty U-S-of-A!

New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville have a special place in everyone’s heart. From jazz, to rock and roll, to country – these cities have been influential in shaping the way music is played, produced and consumed.

On this trip of a lifetime, we’ll go behind the scenes to where some of the most iconic artists spent their days perfecting their craft. From RCA Studio B (the oldest remaining recording studio in Nashville) to the much-loved Grand Ole Opry and the palatial home of the late-great Elvis Presley, Graceland – there is something for everyone and every taste.

Speaking of tastes…the food at New Orleans’ French Quarter is to die for!

What an adventure. For music lovers, it’s an absolute trip of a lifetime – and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Ashley “Dillo” Dillon is a radio lifer, who’s almost clocked up thirty years in the industry.

Born and bred in the Badlands of Gelorup, just outside of Bunbury, Dillo has spent the last 12 years doing the Breakfast Show on Spirit 621 Southwest… And he still loves getting up and going to work every day.

Music has always been his passion, and he’s widely travelled, having been to the USA numerous times because of relatives who live in Chicago. However this trip with Collette tours has Dillo extremely excited, as he has never been to Nashville or Memphis before.

He has fond memories of New Orleans from a previous visit… The French Quarter, food and jazz bars still firmly in his mind.

“Roll on November” he said. “And I can’t wait to meet you all!”
